As the latest Nike Air Max 98 style, this edition features layers of suede and textured textiles coloured in tones of light cream and sail across the uppers, whilst above court purple accents capture the mood of a desert sunset. Embroidered desert ore lines flow across the curved midsection and Swoosh ticks have been added for distinctive branding alongside ‘Air’ lettering on the outside of the heel. A stylised lacing system holds rope like laces which ensure a secure fit and below a slanted ‘airmax’ label has been added towards the top of the tongue. A narrow reflective insert flows all the way around the shoe designed to illuminate when hit by light.
The layered outsole has been constructed from polyurethane foam which provides stability and support, whilst a transparent full-length Max Air unit reveals a desert ore toned cushioning system. High levels of traction are supplied by the black tread design which includes court purple and desert ore inserts.
Coupling with the , warm gradient skies have provided inspiration across both models which incorporate aesthetics from the original releases first seen in the ‘90s, with modernised features and construction.
